Sales Forecast Report

We are excited to announce a new report in Maxwell BI: Sales Forecast!

This new report takes the work out of calculating your sales projections, and standardizes how you forecast sales across the organization.

With filters available for Branch and Loan Officer-level forecasting, we make it simple and easy to compare pipelines.

Want to know how the sausage is made?  We reveal your key impacting KPIs, and surface some key insights for your team to improve.

Time-Based Forecasts

At the top of the report are time-based forecasts.  These weekly, monthly, quarterly, or a full year forecast, with current funded, remaining, and total volume, as well as a look ahead at the next week/month/quarter.

For the Weekly forecasts, we are primarily using existing lock data, and historic pull-through percentage to forecast volume.  This number will be more accurate the more loans you have in your pipeline.  For smaller lenders in a feast-or-famine environment, forecasting at a single-loan level can provide mixed results.

For Monthly forecasts, we mix your existing lock data with your recent overall locked loan volume and industry seasonality data to anticipate approximately how many loan locks you might expect over that time.

For Quarterly and Yearly forecasts, we rely heavily on historic loan volume, recent loan locks, and industry seasonality.  These are best considered “if you changed nothing” type numbers.  In reality, we know you will adapt and improve, and market forces will change outside seasonal norms.  The value here is that we will update these forecasts in real-time as your lending behaviors and performance change.
